The Ministry of Medical Health, Treatment, and Education has appointed Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences to be responsible for establishing and approving educational program standards in specialties. This task will be carried out under the supervision of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). Following negotiations with WFME and after highlighting the significance of program accreditation in specialties, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences was entrusted with the provision and certification of educational programs in specialty fields with the support of WFME on February 26, 2024. It is important to mention that previously, international program accreditation in the field of general medicine through the efforts of the Secretariat of the Medical Education Council has been actualized. |
